How to Choose a Camera Cage
Fitment comes before features
A cage is useful only if it fits the exact camera body. The one fully specified cage on this site fits Sony A7M3, A7R3, A9, A7R2 and A7M2 bodies. Other cage pages are family pages and do not carry specification tables, so confirm the body fitment before payment for any cage that is not that model.
Threads, shoe, grip and access
The specified cage has its own detail page with a specification table covering its build, finish, thread sizes, mounts, grip and access to controls. Use those points as a checklist for any cage: thread sizes for your accessories, a shoe for your light or microphone, a grip you can hold for a full shoot, and access to the battery and controls without removing the cage. Read the figures on the detail page; this guide does not repeat them.
Before ordering, check the code printed on your original battery or charger and the camera model it came with. If the code on your item does not match the fitment named on this page, ask through the inquiry form before payment so the match can be confirmed. Certificates available upon request.
Confirm the battery or charger code printed on your original item, the voltage and capacity you need, and the certification scope and warranty terms that apply to your order. Confirm MOQ, lead time and pricing for your order through the inquiry form before payment. Certificates available upon request.
Wholesale inquiry — Send the camera model, the accessory type and the quantity range you are planning through the contact form, and the supplier can confirm fitment and terms for your order.
